I have also inserted a set of useful documents which were addressed, or refered to, during my courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: basic language of this website is English for an international reach but since my career has begun and is currently unfolding in France from within institutions associated with Middle Eastern languages, many materials presented here are in French, sometime in Arabic or Hebrew.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Early years<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-p1\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">Born in Paris (France) in 1982, I grew up in Montpellier where I started studying Arabic and Hebrew in 2001 as an undergraduate at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.univ-montp3.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University Paul Val\u00e9ry Montpellier III<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-p1\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">After an MA in Hebrew and Middle Eastern studies at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.inalco.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Inalco<\/a>, Paris (National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations), during which I have also studied Berber languages and Yiddish as minors topics, I undertook a specialization in the Semitic linguistics field.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve been working for six years at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bulac.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bulac<\/a> Library of Oriental Languages (Paris)&nbsp; as a collection librarian in charge of the hebrew and arabic collections.  <span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">I have graduated as PhD at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ens-lyon.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ENS in Lyon<\/a> (\u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure) in 2013, where I focused on hebrew and arabic morphology.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-p1\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">I have also taught at INALCO during seven years and at the Sorbonne University (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-paris3.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paris III<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/lettres.sorbonne-universite.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Paris IV<\/a>) during two years before I got a position at the Hebrew department of the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unistra.fr\/index.php?id=accueil&amp;utm_source=unistra_fr&amp;utm_medium=unistra_fr_homepage\" target=\"_blank\">UNISTRA<\/a> (University of Strasbourg, France) as a BA referent.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Current activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-p1\">In May 2022, I was appointed Lecturer \/ Associate Professor in Hebrew Language and Linguistics at Sorbonne-Universit\u00e9 for the Department of Arabic and Hebrew Studies, where I now teach Biblical Hebrew, History of the Hebrew Language, Hebrew grammar and Linguistics and Comparative Semitic Linguistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-p1\">As of now, t<span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">he main topics I focus on in my reseach are:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li class=\"small_bot\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">Judeo-Arabic Dialects<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\">C<span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">omparative Semitic Linguistics<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\">Modern Hebrew<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hebrew Grammar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">Arabic dialectology<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">Biblical Hebrew<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">History of semitic languages<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">History of Ancient Middle East<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"small_bot\"><span class=\"m_7056233485627136461gmail-s1\">Socio-linguistics in Israel\/Palestine<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Current projects<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Building an ambitious Judeo Moroccan dictionnary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Besides and more specifically for my students,&nbsp;
